Everyone wants to be happy. But we are constantly surrounded by things that make us frown instead of smile. As designers, we ask WHY? Who are the idiot designers? Ugh, it could really be us.
So this blog attempts to reverse all that (including the finger-pointing). We want to find out what make YOU + ME smile. Why do these things make us smile, how do they make us happy, so much so that we want to be in a fulfilling long-term relationship with them.
But happiness is an abstract concept. We need concrete proof to show and tell.
If you like what we’re doing, send us pictures, maybe videos too, of anything that plasters a silly smile on your face or steals mad laughter from your heart. Tell us why that is so. And if you’d like, write us some haiku (short and snappy Japaneseque poetry, no more than 15 words). We will share these smiles with the world and see if they smile together with you + me. Together, we can make designs harpie, and harpie designers. Who knows, one day we might have a harpie design exhibition, and you will be in it.
